Tyndale provides retailers with online Bible training.

Tyndale House Publishers believes that retail Bible selling is most effective when sales personnel are provided with solid information and training. Getting comfortable with the Bible product lines a store carries—and learning more about the history of the Scriptures, the original languages, the various methods of translation, and other background information—will prepare retail personnel to confidently serve Bible customers.

In addition to Tyndale’s “Effective Bible Selling” CD-Rom format, Tyndale is pleased to offer Bible training online. Now retailers may access Tyndale’s online Bible training at: http://www.tyndalebooksellers.com.

“Effective Bible Selling” training features a greeting from Mark Taylor, president, Tyndale House Publishers, acknowledging the important role retailers have in helping customers find the Bible that best meets their needs. “Whether they’re looking for a Bible for their own personal use or to give as a gift, your customers may often be overwhelmed by all the options that are available and the choices they have to make,” notes Taylor.

In less than 45 minutes of “Effective Bible Selling” training a retailer can gain confidence in learning how to connect customers with the right Bible to meet their needs. At the end of the online “Effective Bible Selling” training is a printable form, featuring four NLT Bibles. The trainee completes the form, selects one of the four NLT Bibles, and gives it to the store manager to sign and send to Tyndale House Publishers. Within four to six weeks, the selected Bible is sent, with Tyndale’s compliments, to the person who has completed the training.

“For several years the Munce Group has been active in providing retail training to our member stores, and our stores generally have a higher percentage of Bible sales than any other retail group,” said Kirk D. Blank, COO, the Munce Group. “We are pleased to partner with Tyndale House Publishers to provide effective Bible training. Additional training will only add to successful selling for our stores.”
